🇪🇺 THIRD PLACES FOR EUROPE

A three-day event bringing together public sector actors and project leaders:

Round-table discussions, workshops, conferences, field visits to third places, presentations from researchers and experts.
All over the world, citizen-led projects are springing up and thriving at the local, grass-roots level. They may operate under different monikers, but all of these initiatives are united by their ambition to bring people together in pursuit of collective goals. In France as elsewhere, co-working spaces, art occupations, fablabs, experimental farms, shared gardens, upcycling centres, hackerspaces and local distribution networks are all part of a vibrant web of third places, united by a bottom-up philosophy, a heavy emphasis on cooperation and a belief in the commons as the best way to handle the necessary transitions we face.

The goal of "Third Places of Europe" is to reinforce the cooperative relationships between the actors driving these projects, while also building stronger partnerships with local authorities.

Cette première édition sera structurée par 3 grandes thématiques :

The Halle Tropisme
La Halle Tropisme est un tiers-lieu culturel, un village de 10 000m2,  habité par plus de 200 entrepreneur·ses des Industries Culturelles et  Créatives et plus de 60 artistes ; Elle accueille également au quotidien  des professionnel.le.s, des familles, des curieux.se.s, des  étudiant.e.s, des voisin.ne.s...

Tropisme propose une programmation artistique et culturelle pour toutes et tous qui mêle sans complexe musique et expérimentations culinaires, art contemporain et clubbing, débats d’idées et afterworks… Avec plus de  400 événements par an, elle est un lieu incontounable de la vie  culturelle montpelliéraine.

La Halle Tropisme est un projet de la coopérative culturelle et créative illusion & macadam, qui accompagne depuis près de 20 ans le développement et la structuration du secteur culturel.
